Plus, becoming an Uber or Lyft driver definitely comes with it’s perks such as extremely low startup costs and virtually no barriers to entry.
As reported by Nerdwallet, to earn a salary of $50,000 a year as an Uber driver you’ll only need to provide about 61 rides a week and with Lyft about 84.
2. Babysitting
If you have a knack for handling kids, then babysitting is a job that you should definitely consider.
There will always be a set of parents somewhere in the world desperately needing someone to watch their kid(s) while at work or even for date night or two.
Depending on your area, you can earn upwards to $16/hr, according to Moneyish.

4. Flipping Thift Store Items
Flipping thrift store items can be quite profitable and a great way to supplement your income in between jobs.
Locate thrift stores or flea markets in your local area and schedule time to rummage through each one.
Your goal is to find undervalued items such as name brand clothing, books and video games and then sell them for a profit.
You can expect to earn anywhere from $50-$6000 a month simply selling items from your local thrift store or flea market.

If you live in a home with several rooms, consider getting a roommate or two. This will help cut down on the costs of paying for a mortgage as well as other bills. If you live in a college town, renting rooms to students is a great way to earn extra cash.

House sitting can be creative and fun way to travel the world and earn money while doing. As a housesitter you will maintain an individuals home while they are away on vacation, work or some other extended trip.

Keep in mind that getting fired from your job is not the end of the world. Try your best to maintain a positive attitude during a period of unemployment and remember that it’s only temporary.
